Millennium Force

Fog obscures the marina located immediately behind Millennium Force's brake run. During these opening hours, the red train remains parked off the circuit as the yellow train speeds by. As the crowd increases the red train will be brought on line to handle the increased ridership.

In the front car of the red train are water filled plastic "torsos" designed to fit and be strapped tightly in the seats for testing. Trains on all coasters are run over the course as a final safety check before each ride opens to the public. It was discovered early on that on some mornings, empty trains bucking the wind over at the top of the third hill occasionally did not have enough mass to beat the wind and complete the trip to the top. The morning test trains are now always run with at least a minimum number of these water filled "passengers" aboard.
